Get the Bowheads (1997)

Shot over one weekend in my hometown of Fresno, CA, “Get the Bowheads” was a super 8 (non-sync) USC student film gone wild. An homage to John Waters, David Hildebrand and I wanted to create a mock exploitation film that uncovers the dark, subversive undercurrent of over-feminized sorority students, and how they can be seen through a butch-female gaze. It screened at Outfest, San Francisco Frameline, Toronto, Melbourne, and Austin LGBT film festivals.
